Backpack

I posted the first attempt at the full sized skeleton torso with skull backpack in leather. Not overly pleased with it but I am in un charted waters. I will post more and add to the journal as time permits. I also want to add that the process I put the leather through did not work as well as past projects. And I might add that the leather is not vacuum formed. If it were that easy, every one and their mother could do it. It takes hours to get the proper shape from the leather. Brian

I will continue to make and sell the full size leather skull purses and boxes. I just dont plan on posting more photos of them since I have them in my gallery. I dont see the point in reposting the same item in different colors or with different straps and or hardware. I will be launching GriffinLeather.com in the next few months if people want to see variations of my work. But for now the site is parked. Yes you can contact me at BGandAssoc@Yahoo.com to place orders. No I havent worked out the problems with Etsy as far as posting my work. I am trying to get them to help sort this all out and will post a journal once its resolved. If you

So I posted the latest and more than likely the last leather skull purse I will be posting on DA. Its turned into a regular offering in my line of products and has turned into work as opposed to fun. So its on to other projects that I hope are more challenging. I will be using this same method for sculpting other leather objects like armor etc. Now that I feel that I have come close to perfecting the method I developed, its time to put it to use on other projects.

Thanks

I'm loving your work! Thank you for taking the time to post
Thank you very much. I need to post more of it.
Absolutely amazing work!! How in the world do you get the leather so for fit to your molds!! i could stand to take a lesson from you for sure !
Thank you. Very kind of you to say so.
It took me several months to develop my technic for forming leather. I had to throw out the old tried and true methods and start anew.
And I consider it a work in progress.
Your welcome. I've only been playing with leather since last november, and since then, i've even realising i'm an artsy kinda guy, who knew? lol. If your ever in vancouver, or decide to host an online lesson, sign me up!
Thats cool. Keep at it. Especially if you enjoy it.
I also own half of a company that has 2 retail stores, and that takes up a great deal of my time. So in short I have no plans to teach anytime soon.
But I may do some on line vids and will post it in my journal.
